Information for Parents
Dear Parents,
Here in Squadron 17, we strive to please you in everything we do. We will do our very best to keep you informed about how your kids are doing, and how the outfit as a whole is going. Tyler Vansant, our commanding officer, will send out regular emails to all you parents informing you about what is currently taking place in the outfit, and events that are soon to come.
We appreciate you sending your kids to Squadron 17, and thank you greatly for your cooperation with us. In return, we promise to do everything in our power to enable your children to succeed in every way possible. First of all, grades are the most important thing to this outfit. We are all here to get a degree first and foremost. We take that to heart, and give each cadet the best environment to study in, and provide them with more than an ample amount of time to study.
We also believe that it is important for a student to meet new people and make friends outside of their buddies in the corps. We promote many different types of philanthropy events in order to get our name out to those who are not in the corps. We allow our cadets to have as many free weekends as possible when they can go home, or hang out around college station with friends. This free time is great time to relax and refresh for the next week of school.
Squadron 17 has also been known as one of the best athletic outfits in the Corps. We enjoy competing in intramurals, and are very successful. We think that these intramurals allow for us to build better camaraderie and allow for some fun experiences. All of these enjoyable events that we partake in however come second to getting good grades.
